Research, Development and Engineering
TPS Elektronik GmbH provides its customers with solutions featuring comprehensive R&D and manufacturing capabilities in power electronics. Our Chinese–German engineering team develops innovative hardware and software solutions for applications such as AC/DC power supplies, chargers, on-board chargers (OBC), PV inverters, battery test systems, and energy storage. The power range extends from a few hundred watts to several hundred kilowatts. As a design service for power electronics, we undertake custom power supply design, on-board charger design, and lithium-ion battery charger design, as well as custom design of industrial power supplies and custom design of medical power supplies. As a company for electronic product development, we work on custom electronics and electronic product design—including electronics product development—and support automotive prototypes through to turnkey manufacturing. We work closely with experienced partners to develop tailored solutions and succeed together.

Case Studies
Current controller for inductive control in the steel industry
Initial situation
The current controller was developed for a well-known customer in the steel industry in Germany. This current controller is used for precise control of electrical current in inductive control systems used in the steel industry. It enables optimal power regulation and thus contributes to increased efficiency and quality assurance in steel processing production. In the context of our custom power supply design and the design of a DC/DC buck-boost converter, we also demonstrate the application of design equations for buck-boost converters in real projects.
Charge/discharge operations for lithium-ion batteries controlled via I2C bus
Initial situation
TPS Elektronik GmbH was commissioned by a customer in the medical sector to develop a lightweight and portable charge/discharge device for lithium-ion batteries. The goal was a user-friendly, compact system for safe energy management — an example of lithium-ion battery charger design and on-board charger design within the framework of custom design of medical power supplies.
In addition to the competencies mentioned above, we offer services for PCB design and layout as well as PCB design and assembly services combined with PCB design and manufacturing services — all the way through to turnkey manufacturing of complete systems.
