TPS Elektronik GmbH provides research, development, and engineering services from initial concept through to series readiness.
Our Chinese–German engineering team develops hardware and software solutions for a wide range of electronic systems, including power supplies, chargers, PV inverters, battery test systems, and energy storage applications.

Typical power levels range from a few hundred watts up to several hundred kilowatts. We support industrial projects, selected medical applications, and automotive prototypes, and deliver turnkey systems on request.

Interfaces and protocol development

Integration of standard communication interfaces and development of application-specific communication protocols.

Software and Design

Circuit and PCB design, device software development, operating software, and interface programming for electronic systems.

Hardware

Design and development of electronic hardware, including power supplies based on established and advanced circuit topologies.

Hardware Expertise

  • Design of single- and three-phase power supplies, DC/DC converters, rectifiers, and inverter-based systems.
  • Selection and application of power semiconductors and magnetic components.
  • Integration of analog sensing for current, voltage, and temperature.
  • Experience with switching devices such as relays, contactors, and circuit breakers.

Software and Design

  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro.
  • Mechanical design and simulation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Embedded firmware and software development for MCU- and FPGA-based systems, including control logic, device software, and interface programming.

EMC and Safety

  • Knowledge of European, U.S., and Chinese EMC and electrical safety standards.
  • Development-accompanying consideration of EMC and safety requirements.
  • Support for testing and certification in cooperation with external laboratories.

Interface and Protocol Development

  • Integration of common interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, RS-422, SPI, I²C, CAN, and Ethernet/TCP-IP.
  • Development and adaptation of communication protocols including Modbus, CAN-based protocols, ARINC 429, TCP/IP, and AT commands.
  • Customization of communication solutions for MCU-based control systems.
